NDIS Funding Options
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) offers flexibility through three primary processes:
NDIA Management Option:
The NDIA, an independent statutory agency dedicated to fulfilling the needs of people with disabilities, provides a representative who can manage your funds. This approach ensures that your desired needs are met. Under this option, your funding can be overseen by NDIA representatives, and Dominion Nursing Agency (DNA) can collaborate closely with both you and your NDIA representative to facilitate payments and support.
Self-Management or Trusted Individuals:
You have the option to personally manage your funds or designate a family member or trusted friend to handle them. If you’re uncertain about self-managing funds, DNA can assist by connecting you with an NDIS support coordinator who will guide you through the process. We will also work alongside you to establish payment arrangements that suit your preferences.
Plan Management:
Alternatively, your funds can be managed through Plan Management. If this suits your situation, your plan might include funding for a Plan Management service provider. In this scenario, the NDIS directly pays your Plan Manager, who then handles payments for the supports you’ve enlisted them to manage. DNA collaborates with your representative to establish suitable payment solutions.
